OK, so my Mom and Dad are going to celebrate their 30th Anniversary this August and William and I are planning a surprise party for them, in June.
Anyway, we want to make sure you are all invited to the shindig. It will be next Thursday, June 8th at Don and Mary's house. Guest arrival at 6:30 PM and we will get there with our parents at 7:00 PM. BYOB, but food on us.
Hope you can all come and congrats on the house hunting finding to the Birds!!!
So its about time to upgrade. The .Text blog engine we are using now is really showing its age. In the next week or so, I am going to install
Wordpress and repoint MyThinger.org to the new wordpress sites. I will go ahead and try to set everything up and get everyone accounts, but this means that you will have to learn to use new software. The goodnews is that wordpress is FAR easier to use and FAR nicer than what we are using. If any one has any protests, let me know. I will probably keep the old site around in some folder (like http://MyThinger.org/oldblog).
That's right folks, Alan and I are taking the plunge into the home mortgage world. We hope to make it out okay after all is said and done. I'll keep everyone posted.
I have uploaded some Vegas pictures for you guys to look at. Just so you know the back story my friend (Casey) took a stuffed crab from her coworkers draw and so we took pictures with the crab as our little tourist pictures. Hope you enjoy them. :P
I am getting all ready for my trip to Las Vegas next week. As most now I am going to Las Vegas because of Blue Cross and Blue Shield's Rewards program. What many not know is that I was "Rookie of the Year" last year and so I get to stay an extra day in Vegas and do the really cool thing (a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon). My friend Casey will be joining me since my husband was not interested in a free trip to Las Vegas (and now he regrets his decision since he heard all the fun I will be having). I will be bringing my laptop so hopefully I will be able to post during the week and put up some pictures of the adventures. Some highlights of the trips are the Hoover Dam, Thunder Down Under show, hopefully the Bunny Ranch, "O", and of course the Grand Canyon. Don't worry I'll be posting lots of pictures (Kitty :).
I hope everyone has a good weekend and that no one finds anymore foreign substances in their food.
Okay so, me and Alan sat down to dinner the other night. He finished his fish first, while I ate my veggies. As I bit into my second bite of fish, I see coiled up on my fork...a worm! Alan purged and I called the grocery store. "its just a common parasite found in shark, snapper etc..." Common? Has anyone else ever found a "parasite" in their fish? I saved it in a ziploc if anyone would like to see it. It's brothers and sisters are laying eggs in my belly as we speak. So if I become a hybrid you all know why!
Good story Tyndall's!
We havent experienced anything quite as dramatic, but we do have a new Bird member, Luna (cat). She is Rudy's new playmate, but we cant tell if they are really "playing" or not.
Things are good in Austin. SXSW in full swing, which means that there are musicians EVERYWHERE!
We have a new toy, so I will be sending video soon!
Love to all,
Kitty
Well it has been a really fun week for us. First we found that Oreo (the cat) had gotten bitten by something and so we took him to the vet and the next day the wound ruptured so I had to take Oreo to the vet two days in a row (oh how much fun). Well since the wound ruptured the cat now had to wear a cone and looks oh so cute. So then we look at the Lamda (the dog) and notice that her ears are all swollen. So Russ then has to take Lambda to vet. So if you have lost count that is three visits to vet in three days. And so when I come home from work I go and see Lambda and oh yes, Lambda also has a cone on her head. So this week has led to three visits to the vet and two animals with cones on their heads. (and just so you know the vet has no idea why Lambda's ears are swollen but they give her lots and medicine and she is back to normal now). So here is Gainesville we are having fun with animals and we hope everyone else is doing well and do not have a fun week like ours any time soon. Byas

Hey I saw someone else with one of these and I thought it might be a little cool to see where everyone is at now a days. You go to the map and then put a pin to where you live in the country. Take a look... http://www.frappr.com/thingers
I have put some pics in a gallery. They are of the Marching Band I work with now that I am a Band Director. It still feels a bit wierd to be a Band Director, but it is very cool too!!

President Bush on stem-cell research:
“I’ve made it very clear to the Congress that the use of federal money, taxpayers’ money, to promote science which destroys life in order to save life — I’m against that.”
President Bush on the death penalty:
“I support the death penalty because I believe it saves lives.”
Shannon brought Lambda a TShirt from Texas. I dont know what she was thinking (the tshirt is so tiny compared to our dog).
Here are the pictures:
She's in the back
I found this pic of shannon living up to her duty of planting trees. The story is that during a pep rally before he Orange and Blue game she bought a braclet. Her braclet happened to be Blue (for the blue team). Well as fate would have it Blue lost and she had to plant trees with the team. Just thought everyone needed to know that she did in fact live up to her word. Good job.
We got a new TV last night. Yay!
The killer kitty sits proudly over his fallen prey.

Free Mini Macs.
I know that everyone hates this kind of stuff, however it would be really great to have a mac around our office at work. Please click that link and sign up for an offer if you dont mind. Thanks alot, Acceleration.net appreciates your helping us get a mac.

Happy New Year to all! Miss everyone... Hope all is well with family and new puppies, maybe some fish. All is well here, because UT won the Rose Bowl. I actually watched the game. It was good! Whoa, did someone just jump into my body and say that?! Alan designed the winning shirts for the college, so we are happy they won. Hope to see everyone soon...

Go check it out and buy a kiddy a toy.
CNN has an article about
genetically modified cats. This prompted my comment of "I want a cat with a shell... I guess you would call it a curtle". I have cool friends who showed me what it would be like:
here is a tweak to speed up some types of webpages when using firefox.
"Use this little "tweek" and speed your browser up 100x faster then it already is (no joke):
1. Type "about:config" in the adress field.
2. Set the value of network.http.pipelining to "true".
3. Set the value of network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to "100".
4. Set the value of network.http.proxy.pipelining to "true"
5. Set the value of nglayout.initialpaint.delay to "0" (or false)
(The last value needs to be coded in your self, its a boolean value)
Don't try this with Internet Explorer... if you do, its not my fault if shit hits the fan for you"
